1.7.0
Moving a personal chat into a project, leaving a project or chat and handing it to someone else, editing your profile and picture, opening several Clouds in separate browser tabs, and the Grok 4 Fast model.
Released October 3, 2025.
Move a personal chat into an existing project, or leave a project or chat and hand it to someone else on your way out. Manage your name, contact details, and profile picture in one place, and keep several Clouds open in separate browser tabs at once. Plus xAI's Grok 4 Fast, and a first look at AI Agents.
Move personal chats to projects (New Feature)
- Move a personal chat into a project: Pick one of your existing projects and the chat moves in alongside the rest of that work
- The whole conversation comes with it: The chat's history and context move into the project too, so nothing is left behind
- Change your mind later: Move a chat again whenever your work shifts around
Leave projects and chats (New Feature)
- Step out of a project you're done with: Leave a project you're no longer taking part in, and it stops crowding your Cloud
- Or just leave one chat: You can remove yourself from a single conversation when you need to
- Hand it over before you go: Pass ownership of a project or chat to someone else before you leave, so the work carries on without you
Grok 4 Fast model (New Model)
- xAI's Grok 4 Fast joins the model picker: The successor to Grok 4 — a more cost-efficient option that still performs at the front of the field
- It gets there with 40% fewer thinking tokens: Results comparable to Grok 4, using less thinking to reach them
- Room to work: A 2M token context window, for long conversations and large documents
- Both modes live in one model: Grok 4 Fast blends reasoning and non-reasoning modes together
- It can search and run code itself: Web search, code execution, and tool use are built into the model
- It follows a task through: It can work toward a goal across several steps instead of answering one question and stopping
- How it scores: 92.0% on AIME 2025, 93.3% on HMMT 2025, 85.7% on GPQA Diamond, and #1 in search tasks
AI Agents (Coming Soon)
- A first look at AI Agents: A new view previews a feature that's on the way. You will be able to turn specialized AI Agents on and off in your chats in the future.
Profile management (New Feature)
- Keep your own details up to date: Edit your name, email, and phone number in one place
- Add a profile picture: Drag one in or upload it, change it later, or remove it
- Your picture goes with you: It appears across Emerge.ai
- Everything in one menu: A new profile menu opens your profile, your settings, and your account options
Multi-Cloud tab support (New Feature)
- Keep several Clouds open at once: Different Clouds can sit in separate browser tabs without getting in each other's way
- Links take you to the right Cloud: Click a link to a chat or project that lives in another Cloud and Emerge.ai switches you over to it
- Share a direct link to a chat or project: Those links work across Clouds
- Every tab stays where you left it: Each browser tab remembers which Cloud you're working in, so you don't end up in the wrong one
Website updates
- A new contact page: A contact form and contact details on the website, so you can get in touch
Faster chats and search
- New chats start faster: Creating a chat takes noticeably less time than it used to
- Search is quicker and steadier: Searching returns results faster and more reliably
Interface improvements
- A clearer member picker: Choosing members is easier to work through
- A clearer prompt when you need to sign in: Being asked to sign in explains more about what's happening
Bug fixes
- Search works properly: Problems with searching have been fixed
