2.1.9
Your files and your contacts get areas of their own, reached from a new strip of icons down the left, alongside a sign-in page of its own, a blue theme, every setting gathered onto one page, password reset by email, and Auto picking your model for you.
Released March 31, 2026.
Your files and your contacts now have places of their own in Emerge.ai, and a new strip of icons down the left side takes you to Chat, Drive, Contacts, and Tasks. Plus a sign-in page of its own with a demo conversation playing beside it, a blue theme, every setting gathered onto one page, password reset by email, and a new Auto setting that picks the model for you.
Emerge.ai Drive (New Feature)
- Your files have a place of their own: Drive is its own area of the app, with its own sidebar for getting around it
- Three lists to choose from: Switch between My Files, AI Files, and Shared Files to go straight to the group you mean
- See your files the way you prefer: Choose a grid of cards or a table you can sort
- Show only the files you want: A filter bar narrows the list by file type — Word, PDF, Excel, PPT, Images, Video, Audio, and Other — on a phone, the ones that don't fit open in their own dialog
- Search and page through the results: Look for a file, move through the results a page at a time, and choose how many to show on each page
- Upload without leaving Drive: Add files straight from Drive itself
- Pictures show a preview: Image files appear as thumbnails in grid view, so you can spot the one you want before opening it
- Clear out what you don't need: Delete a file from Drive, with a force delete available too
- Send a file into a chat: Open a file's preview in Drive and send it straight to an AI chat
Contacts app (New Feature)
- Keep your contacts in Emerge.ai: Contacts is its own area, with its own sidebar
- A table you can arrange and move through: Choose which columns to show, click a row, and get around the whole table with the keyboard
- Find someone as you type: The list narrows while you type, and a "My Contacts" filter limits it to the ones that are yours
- Add or edit someone without leaving the list: A panel slides out with fields for name, email, phone, and owner, and tells you when one isn't filled in right
- Move through a long list: Page back and forth through your contacts, and choose how many to show at a time
New interface layout (New Feature)
- Everything one click away: A strip of icons down the far left takes you to Chat, Drive, Contacts, and Tasks
- Always know where you are: The area you're in is marked with a colored border
- Each area brings its own sidebar: The sidebar beside the icons changes to match wherever you are
Password reset (New Feature)
- Reset a password you've forgotten: Ask for a reset by email and set a new password on a form of its own
- Change your password from settings: Account settings opens a window for replacing your current password
Dedicated login page (New Feature)
- Sign in on a page of its own: Signing in and creating an account now happen on their own page
- See a conversation while you sign in: A demo chat plays beside the sign-in form, showing what a conversation with Emerge.ai looks like
Blue theme (New Feature)
- A new look to choose from: A dark blue theme joins the options for how the app looks
Settings in one place
- All your settings on one page: General, Profile, Account, Cloud, and Billing are now tabs in a single place
- Edit your details where they sit: Your personal, contact, and address details, your password, and your linked accounts all live on the Account page, and each field can be edited in place
- Find the setting you want: Settings has a sidebar of its own, with related settings grouped together
Model selector updates
- Auto picks a model for you: Chats now start on Auto, which selects the best model automatically and is marked with the Emerge.ai icon
- Turn Brie on or off in any chat: Brie can now be switched on or off in a chat that's already going, not just in a new one
- You're told when you reach your limit: On the Free plan, reaching your limit brings up a message that says so
- Try again without starting over: Error messages come with a retry button
Billing & subscription updates
- Settle an unpaid invoice: A "Pay Now" button appears when a subscription is past due or unpaid
- A message meant for you: Subscription banners read differently depending on whether you own the subscription or are a member of it
- Billing Contacts can manage billing: A Billing Contact now has access to manage billing
- Only the owner hears about the trial: The trial message appears only to the person who owns the subscription
- Billing sits with your other settings: The billing page is part of the settings page
Bug fixes
- Pick up after an interrupted reply: If an AI reply breaks off, you're offered a retry
- Chat settings honor your permissions: A chat's settings check what you're allowed to change
- Handing over ownership works: Transferring ownership goes through, and the option is hidden from administrators who aren't the owner
- Image previews show up: Thumbnails display instead of appearing broken
- Notifications and search behave: Notifications display properly, and the search window works as it should
- Lockdown settings are easier to follow: Getting to lockdown settings works, and its toggles are labeled correctly
- Record audio in Safari: The audio recorder works in Safari
- Files show in project and Everyone chats: Files display properly in a project chat and in an Everyone chat
